Isabel, vom Spiel der Liebe bitter enttäuscht,
führt im Hinterhaus einer Berliner Zweizimmerwohnung
ein Schattendasein, als sie die wohlhabende Johanna
kennenlernt. Im ersten gemeinsamen Urlaub auf der
Ferieninsel Madeira meint es das Glück mit den beiden
ungleichen Frauen gut, zögerlich traut Isabel wieder

Smashing for Tuesdays. It's been ages that I've read
such a funny but partly sad lesbian novel." (amazon.de).
Emotional confusion on a Tuesday. On a Tuesday morning the
protagonist wakes up next to her partner Friederike. The
love she felt, has gone. Will it reappear? A strange day and
detailed retrospectives on the current and many earlier love
stories. An enthralling read. Wonder how it will continue on
Wednesday
Regina Nösslers latest novel presents itself quite
nastily: the protagonist wakes up, it's Tuesday morning,
next to her lies her long term partner, and love has gone.
What's to do? Get up, get away, what's next? By now even the
most sceptical reader, who thinks "absurd, unrealistic", is
drawn into the story and fascinated: the story turns out to
be a wise and abysmal reckoning with lesbian life in its
forties. A racy story, a brilliant read!

Paul "Up and away"
Novel. 288 pages, french softcover, format: 19 x 11,5
cm, price: 7,90 Euro, September 2004, ISBN 3-88769-701-4
The main protagonist of Up and away is a woman from the
eastern part of Germany. In the Fifties of the last century
Karin Hannemann, acting student in Babelsberg, shares a room
with her counterpart Carina Rothaupt in the boarding school
of the University of Filmart. It is the beginning of a
longlife connection between the two almost name-sisters..
Their relationship is characterized by rivalry, but there is
more... They aren't only sharing the room, but also one or
another man. Karin has unhappy affairs with her professor
and a young promising actor, whom she looses in a tragical
way. After all she falls in love with the attractive brother
of Carina, but this guy absconds to the Western part of
Germany. In the following time Karins Love Life is marked by
an unresting searching. She has sex only for pleasure or to
take revenge and gives birth to children from different men.
Sometime, the children are grown-up and the GDR has
perished, she meets Carina Rothaupt again. And she retrieves
her big love.
Ina Paul wrote an exciting Love- and Lifestory about a woman
from the Eastern part of Germany from the Fifites until
today. Embeded into the history of the GDR her writing
succeeds with close descriptions of Berlin and its backyards
so that the atmosphere of the different ages comes back to
life
Biography: Ina Paul, born 1935 in Berlin, studied at the
German University of Filmart in Potsdam-Babelsberg. 1959-67
dramatic advisor at the German Televisionradio. Two years at
Radio Hanoi/DR Vietnam. From 1980 until the Abwicklung 1990
Art director in the DEFA Studio for synchronisation. Since
1991 literary works.
Claudia
Wessel "In a threesome"
Stories. 256 pages, french softcover, format: 19 x 11,5
cm, price: 7,90 Euro, 2004, second edition 2005, ISBN
3-88769-703-0
The eight stories
are situated in the city-setting of modern singles and
couples and can be read as an erotic thriller. The emotional
life of the protagonists is characterized by lust for murder
and desire, erotic euphoria and sudden crashes.
Without romantic
imaginations of love and passion these stories tell about
the traps of love and the dark sides of sex Wessel clarifies
that sex is supposed to be liberated to dispassion but
despite of the omnipresent anything goes" it hasn't
lost any power. Erotic involvements and sexual experiments
in the most different constellations often find a surprising
end. The deserted wife, the sadistic sales agent living a
double life, the lonesome tango-dancer willing to mate are
only some of the protagonists whose life overbalances by
sudden incidents and unexpected turnarounds. Exciting and
dramatic, but also winking the author tells us of wishes and
emotional roller-coasters, hate and exaltation, disillusion
and loneliness. In a clear, often lapidary style in
connection with colourful descriptions of daydreams and
fantasies she succeeds with an extraordinary lively
narration which allows a deeper insight on what exists
subliminal. Like the longing of the protagonists breaks into
their daily life, Wessel undermines the expectations of the
reader and suddenly nothing is predictable...

Wessel, Affair, Novel, 224 pages, Eur 7,90, ISBN

A woman has an affair with a married man. First, it's
just about sex. They meet in hotels of their town, in posh
dosshouses. If the woman walks through town, there are more
and more places where she left something of herself. Dark
childhood memories intermingle with the affair and one day
she falls in love
Like in her novel "In a Threesome",
Wessel describes abysmal sexuality, partly drastically
direct but always honest and realistic. She accompanies the
emotional realm of her protagonists, far from romantic ideas
of love. Even in times of the trendy "anything goes", sex
hasn't lost anything of its brisance

Paulina
Schulz, Waterworld, 240 s., ISBN 3-88769-706-5. Short
Stories.
She writes about sex and silence, about water, whisky and
free jazz. Her figures love, suffer, ridicule themselves and
discover romance in hard sex. Her texts are rhythmic,
heavily visually influenced, sponged with water as a
metaphor for sensuality and danger
"She writes about people, who prefer a ride on the tram in
Berlin or Leipzig to a breakfast in Paris. At one point her
language swings, at another her clearly set syncopes fall
apart. The dialogues are short and vigorous her work is has
a heavy visual influence and all that causes a unique
intensity, a flow
It continuously turns out that love
contains irony, distance and closeness and pain and
voluptuousness." (Svatopluk Macourek)
"Born in Poland in the year 1973, the author exquisitely
draws a panorama of erotic and love with just a few,
differentiated lines."(dpa)
